Since 1975, former family physician Dr. Linda Rapson has worked diligently in the field of acupuncture and related treatments in the context of a western medicine practice, as both a clinician and an educator. She was the Executive President of the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute for 14 years and since 1992 has been consultant on acupuncture at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute Lyndhurst Centre (TRI/LC). TRI/LC, where she is an Affiliate Scientist involved in researching the role of acupuncture in neuropathic pain, is the spinal cord rehabilitation hospital in Toronto that is part of the University Health Network (UHN).
Dr. Rapson’s expertise includes extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain, particularly in the integration of acupuncture and nutrition with conventional medical approaches. She has lectured extensively in Canada and abroad on medical acupuncture, particularly with respect to nerve pain.
As part of her plan to semi-retire, she will be treating a small cohort of individuals who require acupuncture treatment for pain.
