Sofia Provad is a Physiotherapist registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. She graduated with a Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto and has an Honours Bachelor of Health Science degree from Western University. Sofia’s areas of interest include neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation.
Sofia has experience working with a wide variety of age groups in settings such as acute care units, rehabilitation hospitals, and at-home care in the community. She takes a special interest in working with individuals who have experienced a stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury or are living with MS.
Sofia enjoys working with students and has been a Clinical Instructional Assistant for the University of Toronto Physiotherapy Department for the Neurological Clinical Skills Lab. She has also acted as a volunteer standing dance partner for Wheel Dance and enjoys using dance as a vehicle to explore core stability and upper body strength for individuals who use a wheelchair.
To further develop her Physiotherapy practice, Sofia has completed the Basic Bobath Certification for the treatment of adults with neurological conditions. She is also a certified PoNS practitioner.
Sofia is committed to helping her patients reach their movement goals, increase their independence, and participate in activities that are most meaningful to them.
