Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
Are you having trouble dealing with life’s challenges or do you feel disconnected or misunderstood? Are you having a hard time understanding your feelings, or feel stuck? Using an anti-oppressive approach, I work with individuals dealing with trauma, relationship issues, marginalization, anxiety, depression, life transitions, medical challenges, and deepening your understanding of yourself. I use a combination of therapy techniques taking your experiences and therapeutic best practices into consideration. I am trauma-informed, solution-focused and promote self-compassion. I always draw on strengths and for some clients, I use art therapy to explore challenging or persistent emotions.
My personal experiences give me a unique outlook and approach to therapy. I believe one of the most important factors in therapy is a caring and respectful therapist-client relationship. I believe my relaxed demeanour and balanced approach, which blends unbiased encouragement with firm support, allows my clients the space to feel comfortable and respected.
Following a painful and debilitating injury, I needed to change careers and was drawn to the fields of psychotherapy and art creation, both of which helped me heal. I provide services to youth (age 13+) and adults of all cultural, racial, sexual, gender and religious identities. Pronouns are she/her. I have always had enormous compassion for others, and deep connections with people.
I look forward to meeting you!
