Presentation Description – Prerequisite: Must have completed Concussion Assessment
This course is developed and taught by Dr. Charlotte Anderson. This course is practical and will enable participants to learn many management and treatment techniques for physiotherapists when working with patients post concussion injury. This course will touch on all systems injured post concussion, provide take away tools and tests to implement in clinic, and will use current research and clinical findings to aid students in developing comprehensive treatment plans to rehabilitate a patient post concussion injury.
This course is intended for NEW PHYSIOTHERAPY GRADUATES or CURRENT STUDENTS who have an interest in working with this population, or who want to gain the knowledge to be able to adequately assess a patient post concussion. Please note, Earlybird ticket price $200.00 After May 1 price is $350.00 ( + HST)

Course Objectives
Upon completion of this session participants will be able to:
- Educate a patient with a concussion on symptom-based activity modification to expedite recovery and reduce symptoms
- Apply appropriate manual therapy intervention for symptomatic management of an individual with a concussion
- Support a patient in a goal-oriented graded return to physical activity/exercise/sport that reflects the findings of the physiotherapy assessment and is in accordance with current best-practice guidelines
- Judiciously apply the findings of the objective tests described in the Assessment course to develop a patient-specific management plan for an individual with a concussion
