About the Session:
This session will discuss how pelvic health and related concerns can impact a patient’s ability to mobilize and transfer safely and effectively in the rehab and community population. We will explore potential causes for incontinence and discomfort during transfers and how a better understanding of the pelvic floor can offer clinicians management strategies to help these patients. The session will also explore how the pelvic floor plays an integral part in core stability and its impact on patient transfers. Q&A session to follow.
