My Story – Aaron Velasco
Hi, my name is Aaron Velasco, and this is my story. I started my educational career in biomedical Sciences, researching different professions in healthcare, and later decided to become a Registered Nurse. I also explored my artistic passion as a dancer and choreographer during that time. I practiced nursing for three years and learned many different things about myself and caring for people. But balancing nursing and dancing was challenging. It affected my physical and mental well-being. Later, I was given a dance opportunity and made the difficult decision to leave nursing to pursue my love for the Arts. But then the pandemic hit and everything stopped. During this time of stillness, I realized how much I was over working and how good I felt taking care of my body and my mind, to make time for self-care. So I decided to integrate that practice into my life. My background in sciences and current work in the Arts as a dancer led me to explore massage therapy, and here I am. Still dancing and working with the fantastic staff at ALPHA East as a Registered Massage Therapist to help you achieve your Rehabilitation needs.
